About me

Dr Madhotra completed specialist gastroenterology training at Mersey Deanery in Liverpool. He then went on to do a year of Advanced Gastroenterology Fellowship at The Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston in the USA.

His career has also seen Dr Madhotra travel to Japan as a Visiting Fellow at The National Cancer Centre of Tokyo and Fukuoka University Hospital. Here he undertook extensive training in advance colonoscopy and polypectomy procedures.

Dr Madhotra has vast experience of advanced therapeutic endoscopy techniques including ERCPs, Colonoscopies, polypectomy and early polyp cancer removal, EMRs, Oesophageal and colorectal dilatation and stenting. He takes an extremely considered and patient focused approach to his work, making sure that they feel reassured and relaxed. He maintains high standards of clinical care.
Dr Madhotra is an Accredited Bowel Screening Colonoscopist and Clinical Director for Buckinghamshire Bowel Screening Programme.

He has received awards from professional societies and regional health authority for his work on improving patient access for early diagnosis.

Dr Madhotra has been heading the gastroenterology department at at Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) for over 10 years. He is also the Lead clinician for endoscopy at MKUH for many year. Previously he has been clinical director and Divisional director for Medicine. He is Oxford Regional specialty adviser for British society of Gastroenterology and Regional adviser for Royal college of Physicians, London.

Dr Madhotra consults at Saxon clinic twice a week for insured, self pay and NHS patients and has a busy practice at MKUH. Outside of his professional commitments Dr Madhotra is a keen at sport and plays cricket, Badminton and table tennis. He enjoys travelling and photography in his spare time.
