About me

Miss Cunningham is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital where she performs cataract surgery (phakoemulsification) and teaches ophthalmic trainees. She specialises in cataract surgery with multifocal (for distance and near vision) and toric (for astigmatism correction) lens implants as well as medical retinal diseases. Miss Cunningham is co-author of Cataract Surgery chapter of Moorfields Manual of Ophthalmology. She was previously a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at Royal Free Hospital (1995-1996) with specialisation in ophthalmoloplastic surgery, medical retinal diseases and cataract surgery. She was also an Attending Surgeon and Clinical Instructor at New York University Medical Centre and Northshore University Hospital where she was in private practice in general ophthalmology including anterior segment surgery, eyelid plastic surgery and retinal laser treatments (1989 -1992).
