About me

Qualified from the Royal Free Medical School in 1995. Dr Blackburn undertook advanced training in Pain Medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queens Square, London. Dr. Blackburn has been working as a Consultant in the Pain Clinic at St Georges Hospital Tooting since 2005.

He is currently Clinical Lead for St Georges Hospital Pain Medicine Service as well as Co-lead for the Integrated Care Service for South West London Pain Management Pathway Development.

His area of expertise are in the following conditions: back pain; sciatica; neck pain; occipital neuralgia; neuropathic pain; non surgical management of frozen shoulder; osteoarthritis of the knee and whiplash injury. Dr Blackburn has a sub specialty interest in the management of Trigeminal Neuralgia.
