About me

Mr Dhia Al-Musawi is a Consultant General Surgeon with special interest in Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, hiatus hernia repair, splenectomy and adhesion division. Other procedures regularly performed are upper gastrointestinal surgery, bowel surgery, endocrine surgery mainly thyroid and parathyroid surgery and endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy).

Mr Al-Musawi has been a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon in UK since 2001. He has a special interest in upper Gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery including: groin hernia repair, cholecystectomy, Nissen's fundoplication for acid reflux disease, adhesion division, bowel surgery, splenectomy, adrenalectomy, endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), thyroid surgery and pancreatic surgery.

Mr Al-Musawi graduated from Baghdad University in 1979. He has many post graduate qualifications in surgery including Diploma and Master Degrees in Surgery, Board Certificate in Surgery, FRCS (England and FRCS (General Surgery). He came to the UK in 1991 for further training, especially in laparoscopic surgery and undertook this training in the London North West Region.
