About me

Dr. Rana Azkar Hussain works as Consultant Psychiatrist for Midland Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Stafford. He has been employed by this organization in the current role since May 1999.
He qualified from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore in 1984 and became Member of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (MCPS) in 1988. He came to the UK in 1990. He became a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists 1n 1994 and was awarded Fellowship of The Royal College of Psychiatrist in 2006 (FRCPsych).
He is recognized as a specialist in the field of General Psychiatry by the General Medical Council (GMC: 4139777). He is approved as a higher trainer by The Royal College of Psychiatrist to train junior Psychiatrists (Specialist Registrars). He is also an examiner for the MRC Psych examination.
Dr. Hussain has over 30 years of experience working in the field of Mental Health. He works as an Adult General Psychiatrist with the additional responsibility of supervising Liaison Psychiatry Team in the County Hospital Stafford

Dr. Hussain is a member of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and his work is subjected to the regular appraisal processes put in place by his NHS employers and Her Majesty Court and Tribunal Service as he is also a medical member of MH Tribunal Service
