I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Ramsay Winfield Hospital, Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital, Tetbury Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

Mr Anand’s career in Ophthalmology started in India in 1986. He received his MD in ophthalmology in 1990 and has been in the UK since 1991. He was elected as fellow to RCS Edinburgh in 1992.
Mr Anand completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma in Massachusetts Eye and Eye Infirmary in 1995 and has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the NHS since 1998.
He also received a Life-time Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2012 for his contributions in research.

He was a Consultant in Ophthalmology and sole glaucoma specialist for Calderdale Royal Infirmary and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for 15 years prior to joining Cheltenham and Gloucester NHS trust. He developed glaucoma services for a population of 600,000, which included community optician glaucoma services and hospital virtual glaucoma clinics. He pioneered the use of OCT for glaucoma diagnoses and follow-up in the UK. Mr Anand is also a proficient and prolific cataract surgeon. He performs the entire range of glaucoma procedures including trabeculectomy, deep sclerectomy and tube drainage procedures. He is an international expert and pioneer of non-penetrating glaucoma surgery (Deep Sclerectomy). These procedures are considered to be safer alternatives to trabeculectomy.
Mr Anand was the Technical Advisor to National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), for Glaucoma Interventional Procedures from 2009-12.

Mr Anand has a keen interest in clinical research. He has published over 20 original papers in peer-reviewed and indexed journals since becoming a consultant in 1998. The publications include outcomes of glaucoma surgery, Deep Sclerectomy and Trabeculectomy.
He participated in two key national and international randomised controlled trials on glaucoma treatment:
1.UK Glaucoma Treatment Trial
2.Effectiveness of Cataract Surgery for Angle Closure Glaucoma Trial.
Mr Anand has a keen interest in history. He leads a very active lifestyle, including swimming more than a mile per day, 6 days a week!
