Stuart studied Dentistry in Edinburgh and Medicine in Aberdeen before completing his higher surgical training in the North East.
In addition to dental & surgical fellowships he has a Diploma in Medical Education and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers RCSEd.
He is Council member and Trustee of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.He is Chair of the Oral and Maxillofacial Speciality Board of RCSEd , Clinical Lead for International Medical Graduates,Governance Committee for Regional Advisors and MRCS examinations. He was formerly Training Programme Director for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the North West and Chair of the Specialist Surgical Board for OMFS for the North West.West,He supervises international and national examinations for MRCS and regularily examines for specialist OMFS examinations.
He is married with 3 children and an English Bull Terrier.
