About me

Dr Shaw (MBChB, MSc, FRCP) graduated from Bristol University in 1994 and subsequently completed specialty training in the South West and at St Mark's Hospital, in London. He has a Master's degree in Medical Education from the University of Cardiff and has been a Gastroenterology Consultant in Gloucestershire since 2003.

He is currently the Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology in Gloucestershire and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of luminal gastroenterology (conditions that affect the gut). He is a medical adviser to Crohn's and Colitis UK (the patient charity for Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and Clinical Lead in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Programme at the Royal College of Physicians.
