About me

I am a Kidney Stone Specialist, with 20 years of Consultant experience in providing modern laser treatment for kidney stone patients. I am a Senior Consultant Urological Surgeon working at Spire Little Aston Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, for over 15 years, since 2005.

I graduated as a doctor in 1984 and have been working in the NHS for over 30 years. I started my Urology career in 1991 and completed training at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospital, Oxford in 2000.

I passed my FRCS in Surgery from RCS Ireland in 1990. I completed a one year Diploma in Urology at the Institute of Urology, University College London in 1993. I passed my MSc in Urology, 2 years course, at the Institute of Urology, University College London 1996-1998.

I cleared my FRCS Urology specialist exam in 1999. I passed FEBU, Fellowship European Board Urology, in 2001 from Vienna.

I worked as a Senior Consultant Urological Surgeon and Clinical Lead for Kidney Stones at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, part of University Hospital Birmingham since 2005 for over 15 years until my retirement in July 2020. I now work only privately at Spire Little Aston Hospital.

My private practice is based at Spire Little Aston Hospital. The quality and provision of a medical service depends on good teamwork. I have an excellent and experienced team consisting of Consultant Uroradiologist, senior group of Consultant Anaesthetists, Specialist Endourology trained theatre nursing staff and support teams.

During the last 20 years, I have presented and published my clinical work at National and International forums, the World Congress of Endourology, European Urology meetings, British Association of Urology meetings and regional conferences. I have also published my clinical work in National and International journals.

I am a regional and national Urology Trainer, accredited by General Medical Council. I am a Clinical and Educational Supervision. I have trained Senior Registrars in Urology for over 15 years, who are now eminent Consultant Urological Surgeons across UK, America and Australia.
