About me

I graduated as a doctor in 1984 and have been working in the NHS for last 28 years. I started my career in Urology in 1991 and completed training at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospital, Oxford in 2000.

I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon for 16 years and I am currently based at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield. My private practice is based at Spire Little Aston Hospital, Sutton Coldfield since 2005.

I am a general Urologist with special interest in kidney stones providing the most modern advanced investigation and treatment. I am one of the most experienced kidney stone surgeons in the Midlands and have been the Clinical Lead Surgeon for kidney stones at Good Hope Hospital since 2005.

In addition, I have set up a One Stop Prostate clinic, which provides rapid investigation and diagnosis of all prostate problems. A fast tract Haematuria clinic (blood in the urine) helps to identify any serious cancer in the kidneys, bladder or prostate. The quality and provision of a medical service depends on good teamwork. I have an excellent and experienced team consisting of an interventional Radiologist, Anaesthetists, specialist nursing staff and support team.

My national data on the treatment of complex kidney stones is among the best in the country. I have presented and published my work in National and International forums at the World Congress of Urology, European Urology and British Association of Urology.

Please view the Urology information, patient feedback and testimonials which are available on my website: http://www.kidneystonestreatments.co.uk

A GP referral is desirable but not essential should you prefer to book a consultation directly.
