About me

Mr Stefan Weitzel has been a NHS & Independent Sector Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant in South London since 2004.
Whilst working extensively in the area of the lower limb he has developed a major interest in foot & ankle surgery. Mr Weitzel is the most experienced foot & ankle specialist in the areas of Greenwich, Bexley & Bromley, and runs a comprehensive Foot & Ankle Service (Southeast London Foot & Ankle Clinic - This work includes bunion surgery, any forms of forefoot reconstruction, ankle replacement & arthroscopic ankle & hindfoot fusion, minimally invasive techniques & innovative non-operative treatment such as extracorporal shockwave therapy (ESWT).

Stefan is also very experienced in knee arthroscopy and primary hip & knee replacement.

To demonstrate consistent good & often excellent outcomes Stefan enrols patient into an outcome database (SOS) that enables comparison with outcomes of surgery worldwide and encourages the patient to be more engaged in her or his postoperative recovery process.
