About us

Professor Graham Hughes is Director of the London Lupus Centre - where a team of 8 doctors are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with lupus and related conditions.

The Lupus Centre now sees over 400 patients a month from all over the world and from every corner of the United Kingdom.

Professor Hughes trained at the London Hospital and spent 2 years in the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York.

In 1971 he set up Europe's first lupus centre, training both UK and overseas research fellows in the disease, and is often known as the 'father of lupus' in the UK..
