About me

I treat a wide variety of spinal conditions and operate on most spinal conditions apart from paediatric spinal deformity due to the national service for this being in Edinburgh. I will assess children with spinal conditions and refer them on as appropriate to Edinburgh. I also see other general orthopaedic and trauma joint conditions.

My research interests are total disc replacement, non-fusion spinal stabilisation, bone graft substitutes, MIS spinal surgery and interspinous devices.

Areas of interest

• Spinal surgery • Minimal access / invasive spinal surgery • Trauma • Degenerative spine disorders
Sacroiliac joint disorders/pelvic dysfunction. Sacroiliac fusion and pubic symphysis stabilisation. Back pain.
