About me
I am an Orthopaedic Consultant with over 20 years of surgical experience.
I qualified in London at University College Hospital and the Middlesex in 1992.
I did my registrar training on the North West Thames rotation and subspecialised in Upper Limb Surgery undertaking a British Orthopaedic Association approved fellowship with Professor Greg Bain in Adelaide.
I am currently a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen’s Hospital, Burton.
My special interest is in upper limb; elbow and hand for both adult and paediatrics.

I am Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aston University being an Associate Program Director and Module Lead for the first taught course the Masters in Orthopaedics at the new medical school.
I am a keen educationalist, training junior doctors at all grades. Due to finish my masters in Medical Education at Warwick University 2017.
I have published in worldwide literature with over 80 articles on research gate and 40 on PubMed covering a wide range of orthopaedic topics.
I have been Associate Medical Director and Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons.
I am an ATLS and Trace course instructor for the Royal College of Surgeons and have co-directed the ATLS course in Burton for the last 2 years.
I am on the council of the British Association of Clinical Anatomists and will be hosting the Winter Meeting for this group in Burton in December 2017.
I have undertaken some work in disaster areas during my training including Azerbaijan.
I am an ultra-marathon runner completing the Pembrokshire 100 miler this year raising money for prostate cancer.
