About me

Dr Andrew Archbold was appointed as a Consultant in 2004. He works at The London Chest Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) as an interventional Cardiologist and at Newham University Hospital as a general Cardiologist. He is the Lead Cardiologist for the North East London Cardiac Network and a member of various regional and national clinical expert and advisory groups.

Dr Archbold manages patients with all types of cardiovascular problem including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitation, and high blood pressure. He performs coronary angiography and coronary stent procedures at the Heart Attack Centre at The London Chest Hospital, at The London Independent Hospital, and at The Wellington Hospital. He has an interest in the cardiac assessment of patients who are scheduled to undergo non-cardiac surgery (for example knee replacement, hernia repair, prostate or gynaecological surgery, and vascular surgery).

He is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians as an Educational Supervisor for junior doctors. He is Training Program Director for Foundation Doctors at Barts and The London and he has developed an interest in the use of high fidelity patient simulators to train students and junior doctors.

Dr Archbold is one of a group of Consultant Cardiologists who work together to provide uninterrupted and comprehensive high quality care for cardiac patients in the private sector.
