About me

Mr Manoj Sood has been practising Orthopaedic Surgery for 20 years and is a Senior Consultant in his 14th year of Specialist Consultant practice. He Specialises in the treatment of all Hip and Knee conditions and in Sports injury management.

He studied medicine at Guys Hospital Medical School, gaining a BSc (Hons) degree before graduating MBBS in 1992. He undertook higher training at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore and its associated hospitals. Appointed as Lecturer to the Professorial Unit at the RNOH, he further developed his interest in hip and knee surgery during this post, training in complex and revision ("re-do") joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic ("Key-hole") surgery of the Knee and Hip, ligament reconstruction and cartilage regeneration surgery.

He undertook advanced training as a Senior Fellow both in the UK and in two Centres of Excellence in North America, where he worked with internationally renowned surgeons. At the world famous Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, he worked with Dr Dan Berry and at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto he trained under Prof Alan Gross. He gained additional experience in managing the most complex hip and knee cases.

Mr Sood has performed over 2000 arthroscopies, over 2000 hip and knee replacements and over 250 revision hip and knee replacements with excellent outcomes as shown in The National Joint Registry.

Mr Sood has also trained in hand and forefoot surgery, and performs this regularly.
