In addition to a busy NHS and Private work specialising in foot and ankle surgery within orthopaedics, I also teach and train junior doctors and medical students. I have a fellowship programme providing advanced training in foot and ankle surgery which attracts senior registrars from across the UK. I am also an examiner for the MRCS and FRCS exams in the UK and Ireland. I am a member of the board which sets the standard for these exams. I am also currently the Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics in the North Sector in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

I am a founder member of Foot and Ankle Scotland, we have an annual meeting which is held in September which has a scientific session. In addition to this we also organise 2 courses which is mostly attended by orthopaedic surgeons/podiatrists.
