About me

Laxmi has over 25 years of experience in ENT. Her private practice is based at the BMI Healthcare Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle but she also has an adult and paediatric practice at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust where she has been Clinical Lead for ENT for over 10 years. Laxmi is also Head and Neck Cancer Lead for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and a member of The Head and Neck Pathway Board for Greater Manchester.

In addition to her clinical commitments, Laxmi is actively involved in teaching and research to fellow healthcare professionals with a special interest in parotid and thyroid surgery and other neck lumps.

Laxmi graduated (MBBS) in India in 1986 after which she went on to study Otorhinolaryngology which she completed in 1988. After completing FRCS in 1991 she sat the ORL exit exam in 1997. She then undertook studies in audiological medicine at The Manchester University and graduated with a Masters degree in 1999. Laxmi is a member of ENT UK and British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists.

Some aspects of the scope of Laxmi's work include Otology, FESS, speech and hearing in children, Ear, Nose & Throat problems in children, balance and hearing, hoarse voice and other throat conditions, neck lumps, snoring and sleep apnoea, nose and sinus problems.

Over the last few years, Laxmi has been increasingly involved in running of her very successful Microsuction clinic at the Alexandra Hospital.

Laxmi is very passionate about health and excels at outstanding patient care.
