About me

I did my higher surgical training in Wessex and East Anglia including Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. I also completed a PhD in cancer at the University of Southampton. I was appointed as a Consultant General Surgeon at Luton and Dunstable Teaching Hospital in 2001 and is the Clinical Director for Breast Surgery at present. I am a member of the Association of Breast Surgery UK and have published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, mainly in breast cancer. My main clinical practice is Breast and Endocrine surgery. I run one-stop diagnostic clinics for patients with breast problems and perform breast cancer surgery including breast reconstructions and also do benign breast surgery. I am a member of British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons and have a busy practice of thyroid and parathyroid surgery. I also see patients with hernias and other general surgical conditions. I have a keen interest in medical education and is a final MBBS examiner and MRCS examiner. I am also a higher surgical (FRCS) examiner for General Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons.
