About me

After training in the North East of England I started as a consultant in 2001. My NHS practice is that of a general haematologist seeing people with a broad range of blood related issues, including thrombosis.
I have held roles as clinical lead, cancer lead and have always had a special interest in medical education. I was the Director of Medical Education for my Trust and also worked with Health Education England in education regionally.
I am now Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and a Director of Undergraduate Clinical Studies for the University of Sunderland School of Medicine.
I am also a ILM qualified Executive Coach and Mentor.
