About me

I am a consultant urological surgeon, appointed in 2005. I have a busy general NHS practice with a special interest in kidney surgery.
I am an examiner in the final urology examination for trainees on their way to consultant practice.
I am former secretary to the Scottish Urology Society.
I am able to give an opinion on a wide variety of urological complaints an symptoms. Most problems can be treated at Ross Hall, though I have a circle of professional colleagues both in the UK and overseas who if necessary can help with specialist treatment unavailable locally.

Areas of interest

Renal disease / failure; Prostate disease including prostate cancer; Urological oncology; Bladder syndromes; Minimal access / invasive surgery; Stone disease (NOT PCNL); Vasectomy (including reversal, though not sperm cryopreservation); Haematuria; Laparoscopic procedures ('keyhole surgery')
