About me

I was appointed Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Addenbrookes' Hospital, Cambridge and West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds in 2002.
I am a Council Member for the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, a member of the Joint Royal Surgical Colleges, Specialist Advisory Committee for Vascular Surgery and a Member of the Executive Committee of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy.
I was elected President of the British Society for Endovascular Therapy (BSET) in 2013 for 2 years. In 2015 I was appointed Chairman of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) for Vascular Surgery over seeing vascular surgical training throughout the UK.

Areas of interest

I provide a comprehensive one-stop varicose vein service with diagnostic venous duplex scanning and a full range of minimally invasive techniques, including VNUS Closure, EVLT, FOAM sclerotherapy, and microsclerotherapy.
In addition I have an extensive experience of all forms of arterial surgery after 10-years consultant practice at Addenbrookes' Hospital including aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease and carotid endarterectomy. I have a particular interest in endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR).
I also treat minor general surgical problems including hernias and lumps and bumps.
