I have been a Consultant Neurologist for 12 years, combining a busy full time practice in General Neurology with a sub specialty interest in Multiple Sclerosis. I am Deputy medical Director at the West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust, with an important role in improving the quality of patient care, both in Neurology and across the whole Hospital. My work in these roles has been recently recognised with a Level 8 Clinical Excellence Award.
I am passionate about providing a high quality service to my patients, from the moment of referral through to long term care, and patient feedback suggests I achieve this.
I am Trust Lead for Consultant Appraisal and Revalidation, ensuring that Consultants can demonstrate a consistently high quality of service to patients
I work closely with GP Colleagues, Neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, specialist nurses and clinical psychologists to provide an integrated and seamless service for patients with Neurological Conditions
I am Secondary Care Board Member of the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group

I co-run the Regional Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, providing access to the latest innovative treatments for MS. I have a career long interest in Multiple Sclerosis, and have published over thirty reserach papers in this field in peer reviewed Journals
I have also published in the fields of headache epilepsy and neuropathy

I have published widely in the field of Neurology, with lead or senior author academic papers in numerous high impact papers published in Journals such as Neurology, Annals of Neurology and Brain.
Courses offered to GPs
I give frequent weekend talks and seminars to patients. In the last year I have spoken at three weekend Multiple Sclerosis focus groups, and at epilepsy meetings run to update patients with epilepsy on new treatments.
I am involved in Neurology Study Days, providing updates for GPs and other doctors on common neurological problems. I offer seminars to GP practices on any topic they would like to learn more about, at a time to suit them.
Patient Feedback received over the last three years through patient questionnaires, as well as colleague feedback, has demonstrated high levels of satisfaction with the service I offer patients.
