AT THIS TIME OF RESTRICTED MOBILITY I AM HAPPY TO CONTACT YOU AND DISCUSS YOUR PROBLEMS BY TELEPHONE, PRIOR TO FURTHER TREATMENT, WITHOUT OBLIGATION
I am a specialist cataract surgeon . I have over 17 years experience as a Consultant and perform over 800 cataract operations for the last year in adults and children. My published complication rates are extremely low and I maintain extremely high standards of care.
I also perform adult and childhood squint surgery to align the eyes.
Areas of interest
Microincision Cataract surgery;
multifocal and toric lenses;
I performed 800 cataract procedures this last year in adults as well as about 30 in children .
I specialise in offering a customised approach to each patient, which includes a discussion about the best type of lens suitable for each person. Some people have astigmatism in their glasses, which is can be corrected with special implants which replace the cataract, called a toric lens implant. Some people are happy with distance vision without spectacles and wear reading glasses, and others wish to have implants which give a full range of focussing inside the eye, a bit like varifocal glasses. These implants are called trifocal or extended range vision lens implants.
