I have been a Consultant Urologist since 2001 and have practised a subspecialty interest in Andrology (male genital disease) for over 10 years. This has resulted in several publications and recognition as supraregional expert between colleagues. I have a special interest in Peyronies disease, penile and testicular cancer and erectile dysfunction. I have introduced the new low intensity shock wave therapy for erectile dysfunction at Murrayfield Hospital. I enjoy doing microsurgical procedures with high success rates in vasectomy reversal surgery.
I am strongly committed to good quality care and have had high patient satisfaction rates during my appraisal patient survey. I believe that good patient information is the key to a successful Doctor-Patient relationship.
I currently hold the position of Clinical Director for Urology in NHS Lothian since 2013, the second largest Urology department in Scotland.
I also enjoy teaching and am module leader in an online postgraduate masters degree course for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in my spaere time.
