About me

I am a Sport and Exercise Medicine doctor. I trained at the Academic Department of Sport and Exercise Medicine in London in 1997. I also worked there as a Senior Clinical Lecturer and was one of the earliest members of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK). Having been a sports woman (Heptathlon and Rugby) - I enjoy all sport and try my hand now and then at triathlon. Having been frequently and chronically injured as a sports woman
I have an interest in the causes of chronic pain and inflammation, including the gut and environment toxins (such as heavy metals, chemicals and moulds). I specialise in treating chronic conditions including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and chronic pain.

Areas of interest

Chronic pain;
Fibromyalgia;
Chronic fatigue;
Poor nutrition and environmental toxins have a known effect on our joints. I treat the patient holistically and use conservative means before intervention. I look at immune, inflammation, infection and toxicology profiles in order to formulate a good management plan;

I am trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound receiving Distinction in the Diploma examination from Bournemouth University;
I use Shockwave therapy for shoulders, elbow and hips - chronic tendinitis
