About me

Mr Sean Blaney has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon at King Edward VII’s Hospital for over a decade. Qualifying in 1990 from the University of London, his postgraduate training in all aspects of ENT surgery took place in Cambridge, Brighton and London. He undertook a Fellowship in Otology and Paediatric ENT in Australia prior to being appointed an ENT Consultant to Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 2001. He has broad experience in the medical and surgical management of both the common and rare ENT conditions in patients of all ages. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive endoscopic surgery of the airway, middle ear and nose. He has served both on the Council of the Section of Otology of the Royal Society of Medicine and on the Council of The British Association for Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology. He regularly teaches on national postgraduate courses in ENT surgery.

Areas of interest

All aspects of ear disease (deafness, discharge, dizziness & tinnitus), the obstructed nasal airway, sinusitis, throat and voice disorders.
