Graduated from Cairo Medical School in 1982. Worked in NHS since 1984. Worked in several parts of UK; Hull, Nottinghamshire and Newcastle. Successfully attained Fellowship for Royal Collages of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh 1988. Completed Higher Surgical Training Programme in the Northern Deanery in 1998 and successfully attanined the Inter Collegiate Speciality Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery. During training worked in Newcastle, Middlesbrough and other hospital in the North East. Has been a consultant surgeon at University Hospital of North Tees since 1999.
