About me
I attained Fellowship in Spinal Surgery from RJAH, Oswestry following my higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics, based at the St George’s Medical School Hospital London. Currently I am employed as a Consultant Spinal & Orthopaedic Surgeon with an additional interest in lower limb arthroplasty, I perform various forms of Spinal Surgery excepting childhood deformities. In the Northern Deanery as a Spinal trainer I am engaged in the training of Specialist Registrars for the last twenty years. My work is dominated by all forms of spinal trauma, degenerative conditions, tumours and problems related to the cervical spine.
I have maintained a healthy interest and experience in primary hip and knee arthroplasty. I am a member of AO spine and trauma faculty. Presently, I am involved in a Multicentre Furlong Evolution Hip Trial in conjunction with Imperial College, London. I have four publications in foremost peer reviewed journals on the topics of arthroplasty and spinal surgery.
