About me
Professor Saad Tahir graduated from The College of Medicine, Baghdad University in 1974, started oncology training at The Nuclear Medicine and Radiology Institute in 1979, followed by five years training in the United Kingdom.
He worked at two Medical Schools in Baghdad from 1987 to 1993 then was appointed as a NHS Consultant Clinical Oncologist in Chelmsford, UK.
Professor Tahir has participated as a Principal Investigator in more than fifty clinical trials which have set the basis of modern medical and radiation oncology practice, mostly in Gastrointestinal, Gynaecological and Urological Oncology but also lung cancer and melanoma.
He is visiting Professor to The Anglia Ruskin University Postgraduate Medical Centre and helped the formation of Anglia Ruskin Clinical Trial Unit.
Professor Tahir has special interest in Gastrointestinal, Gynaecology and Urology Cancers.
