I am a nationally and internationally recognised vascular surgeon with 28 years' clinical experience. I have private practices in London, Cambridge, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds. My practice aims to combine the highest surgical and academic standards within a sympathetic and relaxed environment to achieve the best clinical and cosmetic results possible. I specialise in the minimally invasive treatments of varicose veins and I am one of the most experienced surgeons in the UK, having performed over 5,000 of these procedures. During my clinical and academic career I have won national and international awards, written several surgical textbooks and published over 120 scientific papers. I am a friendly and approachable consultant, committed to providing excellent service to my patients.

Away from work I am married with two children and I enjoy running, keeping fit generally, watching rugby and football, reading and music.

These are organised as required by the hospitals where I work.
All of these rates are monitored on an annual basis in the hospitals where I work and form the basis of my yearly independent appraisal. In my 2014 appraisal re-admission rates were zero, post-operative infection rates were zero and mortality rates were zero. I have received no patient complaints at any of the hospitals where I work.
