About us

Professor Wardley is an internationally renowned leader in breast cancer treatment and research. He developed The Christie Hospital Breast Cancer Research Team to be the highest recruiter to breast cancer clinical trials in the UK and was a founding member of The Manchester Breast Centre (MBC), for which he leads the Clinical Studies Group. He is also Director of The Christie CRUK/NIHR Clinical Research Facility. He is The Christie/Manchester Cancer Director for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy services and has introduced many improvements and innovations in cancer treatment. He leads the Systemic Therapy Research Theme at The Christie and is a member of NHS England Chemotherapy Clinical Reference Group and a member of the National Cancer Research Institute Breast Cancer Clinical Studies Group and Early Breast Cancer Sub-Group. He is part of the European Society of Medical Oncology Breast Cancer Faculty.
