About me

Mr Boyd has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust since 2003, where he is also Head of the Sport and Exercise Medicine Department. He trained in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham and Brisbane, Australia, where he undertook a senior clinical fellowship in Sports Orthopaedics and Knee Surgery. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine of the United Kingdom. He specialises in elective orthopaedics and sports injuries and overuse syndromes. He is an Olympian swimmer.
