About me

Mr. Waldock has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital (L&D) since 2001 and specialises in cataract surgery and the comprehensive management of patients with all forms of glaucoma. He is currently the clinical lead for glaucoma at the L&D.
He was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine following his research into the clinical evaluation of patients with glaucoma using digital imaging technology. As well as his expertise in glaucoma, his training and anterior segment fellowship at Bristol Eye Hospital have provided him with a wealth of experience in the management of patients with corneal disease, including various surgical procedures.
Mr. Waldock has been a prominent educator and trainer within the East of England, holding the post of Training Programme Director for Ophthalmology within the region for five years from 2010. He continues to be a microsurgical skills course trainer at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a position which he has held for the past ten years. He also has a passionate interest in the research, innovative design and manufacture of reusable ophthalmic surgical instrumentation.
