Dr Adam Haworth has been a consultant Dermatologist at Portsmouth for 15 years. He treats general skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis as well as skin allergies. He undertakes 2 operating lists for cancer surgery per week and is a member of the Skin Cancer Specialist Multidisciplinary Team. He runs the Contact Dermatitis Unit for investigation of Skin Allergies. He is a keen educator and lead for postgraduate dermatology education.
Dr Haworth has been the Medical Director of the Skn Clinic, Portsmouth since 2007. Here he undertakes treatments with injectibles, lasers and chemical peels.
Dr Haworth qualified from Magdalene College, Cambridge in 1986 and Addenbrooks Hospital in 1988. He started working as a doctor in East Anglia and London before moving to Cardiff to commence his training in Dermatology. He joined the Solent Dermatology Rotation in 1996 becoming a Consultant in 2000.

Dr Haworth is keen on water-sports and enjoys sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing. He also likes to be on his mountain bike in the surrounding Downs. He sings in the village choir. He is married with 2 boys.

Courses offered to GPs
Dr Haworth regularly attends GP surgeries, teaching GPs on their own patients. He runs the evening GP meetings at St Mary’s and the annual meeting for GPs working within the Dermatology Department.
