I am a general surgeon and have worked in a central London teaching hospital for 15 years. I specialise in thyroid, endocrine and hernia surgery. For the thyroid surgery I see patients and operate if they require thyroidectomy or partial thyroidectomy for goitres, thyrotoxicosis and thyroid cancer. I operate and remove parathyroid glands for patients with hypercalcaemia and hyperparathyroidism.
I also specialise in hernia surgery and perform mesh repairs of inguinal hernia; incisional hernia; umbilical hernia; epigastric hernia; femoral hernia. Although I have considerable laparoscopic expertise I think patients are better treated by a small incision open operation and I reserve laparoscopic repairs for special cases
