I have 17 years of experience as a consultant Rheumatologist. I am the service lead for the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust responsible for running the Rheumatology departments at both the Chelsea and Westminster and the West Middlesex Hospitals. Although my specialist interests include osteoporosis and early inflammatory arthritis, I am very experienced in the diagnosis and management of the full range of Rheumatological conditions including connective tissue disorders and vasculitis, back pain, soft tissue rheumatism eg tennis elbow, tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as gout and have an interest in metabolic medicine. I teach medical students and junior doctors as well as giving talks on Rheumatology to GP's. I am very experienced in soft tissue and joint injections eg for carpal tunnel, painful shoulders, tennis elbow and inflamed joints.

I am head of the Rheumatology department at the West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth, West London
I run 3 to 4 busy Rheumatology clinics each week and have patients with a full spectrum of conditions including those on biologic treatment for inflammatory arthritis and those with back pain and soft tissue rheumatism.
I am an Honourary Lecturer for Imperial College with a significant teaching committment
I was involved in the first trials of biologic therapy for Rheumatoid arthritis at the Kennedy Institute, Charing Cross Hospital.
I maintain a research interest with close liason with projects at Imperial College and the Hammersmith Hospital as well as national research projects
