Having qualified in London I moved to Birmingham where I have specialised in prostate diseases for the last 18 years.
My approach to diagnostic pathways for prostate cancer are to use PSA, mpMRI and urinary PCA3 gene test to avoid prostate biopsies if possible.
I use template mapping biopsies rather than TRUS biopsy.
I have performed nearly 4000 prostatectomies and specialise in nerve sparing to preserve erectile function.
For urinary symptoms and retention, I favour Greenlight laser but also perform Urolift, RezUm.
Areas of interest
PSA and mp MRI for diagnostics;
Template mapping biopsies;
Greenlight laser PV prostate
Bladder cancer, cystectomy and neobladders
