About me

Hi, I am Dr Kerry Ware and I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I have 14 years of qualified experience in providing psychological assessment and therapy to adults with a wide range of difficulties and have worked in the NHS for over 20 years. I am currently the lead for Breast Cancer Psychology in Sheffield where I offer specialist assessment, formulation and treatment of psychological distress in relation to having/having had breast cancer. Many people find themselves struggling to 'move forwards' or 'get back to normal', especially once treatment has ended and find themselves feeling stuck.
As a Clinical Psychologist I am able to draw on a number of different models to suit your needs including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help us understand why you are feeling the way you do currently and also to reduce distress and improve your psychological well being.

Areas of interest

Adults of all ages; the psychological impact of having/having had breast cancer and treatment for it; fear of cancer recurrence; adjusting and adapting to life after breast cancer
