Professor Lovat is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at UCLH and Head of the Gastroenterological Intervention Centre in the Division of Surgery & Interventional Science at UCL. He is also Clinical Director of the WEISS Centre at UCL

His ground breaking work is in the field of complex gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett's oesophagus and cancer prevention.
