About me

I am a private consultant psychiatrist based in London and am able to assess and treat a wide range of mental health conditions in adults. I take a very detailed and thorough history during the assessment interview to obtain an accurate diagnosis so that an optimal management plan can be discussed, agreed and implemented.

I aim to work collaboratively with my patients. I have ready access to a large group of highly skilled and specialised psychotherapists and am able to frequently avoid or defer prescribing medication, in clinically appropriate situations, to allow psychological approaches in treatment to be tried first.

I trained as a doctor at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, University of London (MBBS 1987 and MRCPsych 1992) and completed my psychiatric training at St George's Hospital in Tooting, London. I have been in exclusive private practice since 2006.
