About me
Alpesh Kothari is a Specialist Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Oxford
Mr Kothari graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in medical sciences at the University of Cambridge, before completing his medical training at the University of Oxford. He completed his post-graduate Orthopaedic training in Oxford. He has a Masters in Orthopaedic engineering and investigated flat-feet in children for his DPhil. He undertook fellowship training at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto and further travelling fellowships across South America
His sub-speciality interests include children’s foot and ankle disorders, knee problems including knee-cap instability, developmental hip dysplasia alongside other hip disorders and neuromuscular conditions like cerebral palsy and spina bifida.
Alpesh is involved in clinical research, supervision of postgraduate degrees and training orthopaedic residents. He is an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is regularly invited to teach at national and international events.
