About me

I trained as a house officer at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (professorial unit) then moved to Kettering General Hospital where I was a senior house officer in general medicine, chest medicine and diabetes endocrinology. I then progressed to registrar in diabetes endocrinology at the Royal Free Hospital London and the North Middlesex Hospital London. Senior registrar general medicine, care of the elderly and diabetes at Birmingham University Hospitals. I was appointed consultant physician at BHRUT 1998 and a Consultant in Diabetes Endocrinolgy in 2002.

Associate Professor of clinical medicine at American University of Carribean, Florida, USA and Ross University, USA.

PACES examiner at Royal College of Physicians of London.

Areas of interest: Thyroid disorders including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism and thyroid nodules. Hypercalcaemia and parathyroid disorders; Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS / PCO); Diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2; and other endocrine disorders. General Internal Medicine.
