About me

Mr Paul Nicolai has been working as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bury St Edmunds since 2003. His work concentrates on the lower limb with a special interest in knee and sports injuries. He also participates in trauma care on a rotational basis.

Mr Nicolai was awarded a Travel Fellowship by the British Association for Surgery of the Knee and visited six top knee surgeons in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. He regularly performs keyhole surgery operations (arthroscopy), knee joint replacements (partial and total) and realigment operations around the knee (osteotomy). The results of his partial knee replacements are one of the best in the country and the Zimmer unicondylar knee prosthesis he uses has by far the best results in the National Joint Registry.
