About me

I have been a consultant for almost 15 years.My proudest achievement has been setting up an integrated vascular service for the whole of Derbyshire giving patients the state of the art Vascular service irrespective of the part of Derbyshire the patient comes from. I have of the the largest endocrine practice dealing with both thyroid and parathyroid surgery in East midlands with very low complication rates. I continue to practice general surgery and I pride myself in being able to deal with most general surgical problems which is supported by the truly general surgical background in my training.

Abdominal problems including Hernias-incisonal , femoral and inguinal hernia, haemorroids, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, gall bladder problem, stomach and duodenal ulcers, abdominal mass, including lumps and bumps
Vascular problems including varicose veins, carotid artery disease , aortic anuerysm, arterial disease including femoral and popliteal disease, venous ulcers
Endocrine problems including thyroid, parathyroid disease
Surgery undertaken includes hernia repair both open and laparoscopic, recurrent hernia repair, varicose vein surgery including Vnus radio frequency surgery, sclerotherapy injections of veins, banding of piles, sigmoidoscopy laparoscpic cholecystectomy, thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, endovenous stents for arterial disease, carotid endarterectomy, open repair of aortic aneurysm, femoral and popliteal bypass surgery, acute condition such as bowel obstructions, appendectomy, incarcerated hernia.
