About me
Mr. Dincer Aktuerk is a British and German-trained Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital at Barts Health NHS Trust where he leads the Minimally Invasive (keyhole) Cardiac Surgery service. Dincer has experience in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, with a special interest in coronary artery surgery, aortic valve surgery, and mitral valve repair. He has completed prestigious international fellowships in both transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and minimal access and robotic valve surgery and is therefore in a unique position to objectively provide a wide range of treatment opinions to individual patients. Dincer has presented widely at both national and international conferences and has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He was recently awarded the esteemed Consultant Team Scholarship by the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland to support education and training in minimal access cardiac surgery.
