About me
Pablo is a clinical psychologist chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). He is also a behavioural psychotherapist registered with the Association of Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS) and a psychologist specialising in psychotherapy accredited by the BPS. He completed his MSc and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leiden, in Holland, and at the University of Roehampton, in London, respectively.
He has practiced as a clinician in a range of services in different countries, prior to joining City Psychology Group (CPG), working in centres and charities in and beyond Europe. He is experienced working with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief and depression, among other mental health difficulties, in a time-limited manner.
He continues to be involved in academic teaching and research, having lectured at the University of Roehampton, in London, and currently being an honorary lecturer at the School of Psychology at the University of Liverpool. As a researcher, he is involved in national and international scientific studies.
Areas of interest
Pablo has worked with people to address a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, relationship issues, existential crises, low self-esteem and grief.
Pablo has an integrative approach to his work, tailoring psychological therapy to the person’s situation, aims and preferences. He is experienced and trained in several modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Person-Centred Therapy (PCT); and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He specialises, however, in the use of online behavioural and humanistic therapies for clinical anxiety.
