About me

My main focus has been on embracing techniques which minimise the impact of surgery for patients, speeding their recovery and reducing their time off work and normal everyday activities.
I am passionate about education and am regularly involved with the education of doctors and other health professionals.
For the last 8 years I have been a clinical director within the NHS where I have been involved in improving the provision of emergency surgery and constantly evaluating the quality and efficiency of the surgical service.

Laparoscopic repair for groin and incisional hernia; ; Laparoscopic procedures for acid reflux and the treatment of hiatus hernia; Gastroscopy; Colonoscopy; Flexible Sigmoidoscopy; Diagnosis and treatment of oesophageal and gastric cancer; Laparoscopic surgery for appendicitis; Bariatric surgery (for obesity) all performed laparoscopically including gastric bypass, sleeve gastroscopy, gastric banding and insertion of gastric balloon
