About me

Dr Mark Vanderpump’s main area of expertise is thyroid disease but his clinical practice includes all aspects of Diabetes and Endocrinology. He frequently see referrals and manage some of the less frequently occurring conditions such as thyroid cancer; pituitary conditions such as acromegaly; and adrenal disorders including Addison’s disease, plus calcium and bone disorders.

He has published on various aspects of thyroid disease, written a book on the subject and is the current President of the British Thyroid Association. He is a Trustee of the British Thyroid Foundation. Dr Vanderpump spends most of his time teaching and lecturing nationally and internationally. He also undertakes medico-legal work within his speciality.
