About me

I was appointed to my Consultant post 20 years ago; having qualified from the University of Nottingham, completing my training in the West Midlands. My specialist interest is Gynaecology. I was trained in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. This has been developed in the management of menstrual dysfunction and postmenopausal bleeding. More recently I have been appointed the Local lead oncological surgeon and have used these skills to develop the use of Laparoscopy in the management of endometrial cancer. I remain committed to prolapse surgery and have developed the use of Mesh in the management of recurrent prolapse.

Areas of interest

Lead(local) Oncology surgeon:
Lapararocopic management of endomertial cancers, and complex mass.
Colposcopy (examination of cervix and vagina), LA Hysteroscopy in the management of abnormal / and post menopausal bleeding.

Menstrual dysfunction and Endometrosis:
Laparoscopic management of complex endometrosis, Hysteroscopic management of polyp,fibroid and the management of menstrual dysfunction. Open myomectomy for the management of fibroids.

Prolapse surgery:
Advanced prolapse surgery performed including the use of Mesh in recurrent prolapse.
