I am only one of a handful of British doctors having had the privilege of training at both Cambridge and Oxford medical schools, graduating with a MA degree from Cambridge and medical degree from Oxford.
Following this I spent time at the famous John Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, before then training in the prestigious North London Ophthalmology training programme and at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital in London.
I am fellowship-trained in retinal diseases and cataract surgery. I have also published research and presented academic work at international conferences (such as the World Ophthalmology Congress) in places as varied as Seattle, Abu Dhabi and Budapest on age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
I also work for the NHS as a substantive Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. I derive pleasure from being a surgical trainer to junior ophthalmic surgeons.
I pride myself in always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for my patients by devising individual care plans for every individual I meet.
I am married with two children who keep me busy!
